Adult film star Uglygalz has spoken candidly about a failed collaboration with Nigerian music heavyweight Don Jazzy, describing the experience as disappointing and uncomfortable.
In a recent interview, Uglygalz revealed that she and the Mavin Records boss initially discussed working on a project together. However, after those early conversations, she claims Don Jazzy went silent, allegedly ignoring her messages for nearly three months. During that period of delay, she says she connected with another individual who moved quickly and successfully executed the same project.
According to Uglygalz, Don Jazzy only resurfaced after learning that she had proceeded with someone else. She recalled that he accused her of not giving him enough time to finalize the deal, despite his prolonged silence. By that point, she had already grown frustrated with the lack of communication and clarity.
Uglygalz further alleged that Don Jazzy appeared conflicted about the collaboration and insisted on keeping his involvement secret. She said he was willing to fund certain aspects of the project and oversee technical processes such as payment gateway registration and hosting, but wanted to remain anonymous and maintain a clear distance from her publicly and personally.
She explained that under the proposed arrangement, revenue would have flowed to him while she would remain sidelined, both in terms of creative partnership and personal rapport. This, she said, made her feel reduced to a purely transactional role, with no genuine collaboration or relationship.
Uncomfortable with what she perceived as secrecy and exclusion, Uglygalz said she ultimately rejected the deal. She emphasized that she prefers partnerships that combine business with mutual respect, openness, and human connection, rather than isolated, behind-the-scenes transactions.
Addressing suggestions that Don Jazzy may have been trying to avoid public controversy, Uglygalz dismissed the idea, noting that his involvement would still have been traceable through payment and registration details. While she acknowledged that she initially appreciated his interest and support, she concluded that the lack of transparency and distance he maintained made it impossible for her to move forward with the collaboration.
